About Vidhya Babu

I have spent decades guiding families and individuals through estate planning, probate, and trust administration across the Bay Area, particularly in San Mateo County. Building personal connections with my clients, I educate them on options for their particular situation so they can make informed decisions. We work together to build plans for their futures, for their families and to safeguard their assets.

Prior to founding the Law Office of Vidhya Babu, APC, I was an equity and managing partner at Fox, Shjeflo & Babu for 15 years after spending eight years as an associate attorney. I was previously a summer associate at the United Nations Office of Legal Affairs in New York City.

I graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in 1996 and from Temple University Law School in 1999 with my Juris Doctorate.

To stay current in the legal field and access the highest level of resources, I maintain membership in the State Bar of California, Trusts and Estates Section (formerly known as the Estate Planning, Trusts and Probate Section), San Francisco County Bar Association, San Mateo County Bar Association, Silicon Valley Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.

I show the same care and dedication to my community as I do to my clients. I am dedicated to supporting our school systems and preparing children for success. I am currently on the board of trustees at Compass High School in Belmont. Previously, I served as the PTA president at Central Elementary School, where I received the Honorary Service Award, recognizing my outstanding service to children and youth. Through my law office, I financially support the School Force and Carlmont Academic Foundation, two education foundations that serve the Belmont Redwoodshores School District and the Sequoia High School District respectively. I also serve on the San Mateo County Bar Association’s Race and Social Justice Committee.

I actively volunteer with Lasagna Love and Dress for Success and was a part of the Ambassador Circle for Unity Care.
